A special meeting of the SCRC was improperly called for Thursday, September 19th; once again, the call was not transmitted to every member with at least 10 days notice as required by RPA Rule Article II Section 5C, “Notice of the time, place, date and purpose shall be transmitted to each member of the committee at least ten (10) days in advance.” As Robert’s Rules of Order only allows business and voting to be conducted during a properly called meeting (RONR 1:6, 25:9, 49:16), the September 19th meeting will not be able to conduct official business.
Rest assured, the Executive Committee’s top priority is getting contributions to our Republican candidates, but it must be done properly in accordance with the rules. We are working hard to make this happen; I will release more information in the coming days.
